Crate Racin’ USA National Points Chase Opens Today as 2026 Season Begins
(Eastaboga, AL – February 23, 2026) — The green flag officially waves today on the 2026 Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin’ USA National Points season, launching a 32-week pursuit of national championships across grassroots dirt racing’s most competitive weekly program.
Beginning February 23 and running through September 27, drivers will compete for national honors at nearly 30 sanctioned tracks spanning seven states, with championship points awarded in four weekly divisions. By season’s end, the Top 10 drivers in each division will be recognized during the annual year-end awards banquet.
For 2026, Crate Racin’ USA continues a points format designed to reward consistency while offering flexibility for teams balancing travel and weekly racing schedules. Drivers may count their best 12 finishes toward the national championship, with only the best finish from each week applying to the standings. Competitors racing on both Friday and Saturday nights will have their strongest result of the weekend count toward national points.
That structure has helped make the CRUSA National Points chase one of the most accessible and respected championships in grassroots racing.
The championship rewards remain strong across all divisions:
CRUSA Weekly Late Models (604): $12,000 to the National Champion
CRUSA Street Stocks: $4,000 Championship Award
CRUSA Late Model Sportsman (602): $4,000 Championship Award
CRUSA Modified Sportsman: $3,000 Championship Award
Adding to the excitement, the VP Racing Fuels Young Guns Challenge returns for 2026, awarding $1,000 to the top driver age 18 or younger competing in the CRUSA Weekly Late Model division.
The CRUSA National Points program carries a rich history of champions who have defined weekly racing excellence. From early standouts like Lucky Keeton and Johnny Stokes to modern-day stars, the championship has long been a proving ground for regional talent.
Recent seasons have been highlighted by David Williamson’s back-to-back Weekly Late Model national titles, while drivers such as Calvin Martin in Street Stocks and Chuck Gipson in Modified Sportsman competition have authored dominant championship runs.
Those legacies will be challenged again in 2026 as a new season unfolds across a broad southeastern footprint.
